Cornwall Public Library

Check Mates (youth):

will meet every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. for July and August. 

Tri-County Chess Club (Adults and advances youth):

will meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m.

Chess Tournaments:

will resume starting the first Saturday in October.  The cost will remain at $5 per player.  Registration: from 12 to 12:50 p.m.  Games start at 1 and end at approximately 3:30.  Registering late will mean that you forfeit the rounds you have missed.

Chess Display at the Cornwall Square:

held on last Saturday of each month (except for November and December).  From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., usually upstairs near the Pet Store.  All are welcome to play a game or two.

Play Chess at Billy K’s Eastcourt Mall:

Have something to eat and play chess, just ask for a chessboard and pieces when you order.

The next School Chess Tournament:

date to be announced on our website. Will be held at l’Ecole secondaire l’Héritage at 1111 Montreal Road.  Please check our website for all details.

Summer Chess Camps:

will be held on the week of July 5th and August 16th. The cost for the week will be $20 per participant (adults welcome also).  An advanced level camp will be offered is there is a need and if we have enough candidates.  On the Friday of the camp, a tournament will be held to close the week.  This will be $2 for camp members and $5 for non-camp members.
